What we do

Raising the Industry Standard

Canine hydrotherapy is currently a non-regulated industry and the ICH sets the standards for professionalism and clinical proficiency in canine clinical hydrotherapy.

All our members are qualified professionals who annually pledge their commitment and obligations to meet the IRVAP Code of Conduct.

The Board is directly accountable to the IRVAP Council and this unique checks and balances system is an IRVAP initiative to ensure the best treatment is consistently achieved by our members. ICH members abide by the ICH Professional Guidelines and Day One Competencies published in our member’s only website.

Registration + Recognition

The ICH has a specific membership admissions policy as part of its Registration Application process, which reflects current clinical hydrotherapy. IRVAP is in ongoing discussion with other Professional Associations and regulatory bodies, working together to raise the standards of practice in the industry.
